Playlists

Overview

Playlists are used within LaunchBox and reside in the .\data\platforms\ folder of the LaunchBox install.

eXoDOS

Included playlists in eXoDOS are:

eXoDOS 3dfx Games

Games that have 3Dfx model as a possible launch option.

eXoDOS Games with CGA Composite

Games capable of using CGA Composite mode. This took advantage of composite artifact colors to allow the appearance of extra colors on screen through manipulation of exact pixel placement.

eXoDOS Games with Gravis Ultrasound

Games capable of using the Gravis Ultrasound sound card. Please see Sound Cards for more information.

eXoDOS Games with IBM Feature Card

Games capable of using the IBM Feature Card sound card. Please see Sound Cards for more information.

eXoDOS Games with MT-32

Games capable of using the Roland MT-32 sound card. Please see Sound Cards for more information.

eXoDOS Games with Printer Support

Games capable of making use of a printer. The printed content is saved as PDF files.

eXoDOS Games with Sound Canvas

Games capable of using the Roland Sound Canvas sound card. Please see Sound Cards for more information.

eXoDOS PCjr Games

Games that were released for the IBM PCjr home computer. Please see Video Modes for more information.

eXoDOS REEL Magic Games

Games that make use of the ReelMagic MPEG decoder card. Please see ReelMagic for more information.

eXoDOS Remote Multiplayer

Games capable of remote multiplayer via IPX, NetBIOS, or serial\nullmodem. Please see Remote Multiplayer for more information.

Installed eXoDOS Games

Games that have been installed (decompressed) by the Installer. This playlist is auto populated by the EXO Plugin.

Quality Freeware

This list seeks to recognize games that fall into the "freeware" category that are high quality. This was started due to the sheer number of low quality games that exist for the platform.

eXoWin3x

Included playlists in eXoWin3x are:

Games that have been installed (decompressed) by the Installer. This playlist is auto populated by the EXO Plugin.

Retro Learning Pack

This playlist requires eXoDOS and eXoWin3x to be merged in order to work properly. It is representative of the same 667 games found in the RLP when it was released. This was done simply to make it possible to filter by those games for those who are interested.
