Description
Known issues in the eXoDOS project are documented on this page.
Game Issues
Castle Adventure
The save game system does not function correctly. Loading a save game will cause random mobs with numbers for names to spawn in abnormal locations and interacting with pickups causes the game to crash.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Start the game, go North, North, North until you see the room with the 4 x U's in the middle
- Type "save [filename]" (eg. save mygame)
- Type "load [filename]" (eg. load mygame)
- You will see a new creature chasing you named 13. Navigating around the rest of the place you'll see other mobs in weird places, too.
Les Manley in the Search for the King
The original files (disks 1, 2, and 5) are infected with a boot sector virus. This is confirmed within a brand new shrink-wrapped copy of the game (it is harmless in DOSBox and can not infect modern computers).
Oddworld: Abe's Odyssey (English Version)
The MS-DOS save system does not work due to long file naming requirements. It appears to only work in the Windows version.
